Before the springs are put on sale, they must successfully pass rigorous quality tests and meet strict standards. Eibach, as a manufacturer of torsion springs, uses only certified materials during production, such as patented drawn spring wire made of unalloyed steel, according to DIN EN 10270-1. The second material is an extremely durable spring wire hardened in oil, according to DIN EN 10270-2. In the case of components exposed to corrosion, we use stainless spring wire, according to DIN EN 10270-3. In turn, custom-made torsion springs made of 51 CrV4 or 52 CrMoV4, according to DIN EN 10089 are hardened and tempered after shaping. This technological process makes so-called pre-tensioning impossible. This must be taken into account when choosing the material from which the springs are to be manufactured.
It is worth remembering that in the case of torsion springs, the force is transferred tangentially, i.e. to the direction of the coils, which is why precise matching of the end is so important. As an experienced manufacturer, we are able to design and produce virtually any type of end, thanks to which our products are characterized by universality and versatility of use.
